Writing
Hello!
Thanks for finding me on this website!
I'm currently working on a women's fiction novel with an edge of domestic terrorism and suspense.
My novel, If You See Something, takes place in Colorado ski country. It’s the story of a single mom faced with the threat of losing her son. As she flounders in sorting out her own life, she becomes fascinated with a quiet stranger and unknowingly attracts the attention of an undercover FBI agent. The three characters move in concentric circles until they collide.
I get much support from my local writing group, West Des Moines Writers, and my local Sisters in Crime (SinC) chapter. I also belong to the National SinC, Women Fiction Writers of America, and The Authors Guild. And I can’t leave out my writing mentor, award-winning author Sandra Scofield, author of The Last Draft: A Novelist's Guide to Revision.
Enneagram Character Coaching
I was certified as an Enneagram teacher by Helen Palmer and David Daniels in 1993 in their Enneagram Professional Training Program. At that time, their work was called the Oral Tradition. I can talk about the Enneagram all day, but instead, check out my Enneagram Character page for thoughts about using the Enneagram for your characters.
BIO
Here are a few things about me. I live with my husband in West Des Moines, Iowa. I’m a certified Enneagram teacher and Licensed Independent Social Worker. During my career (retired now) I did a lot of technical writing, and I could not wait for the time when I could finally write fiction.
I’m a skier, hiker, cyclist, and scuba diver—all activities found in my novel. My favorite pastimes now are spending time with my granddaughters, traveling, gardening, kayaking, and hiking. I have a crazy goal of hiking each of our country’s wonderful National Parks.
